Glimpses of a virtual “Training on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)–Enabled Technology Commercialization, Licensing, and Transfer Strategies” held on 06.01.2026.
Dr. Karuppasamy Ramanathan, Professor, Mittal School of Business, Lovely Professional University, has served as the resource person. During the session, the resource person highlighted the existing procedures to apply for copyright, design, and product patents and the importance of having such in the empowerment of a faculty member.
Also, he emphasised the funding bodies available in the state and nationwide to get grants after getting the patent like Start-Up-Tamil Nadu, MSME etc.
It was an initiative of Research and Development Cell as part of Institutions’ Innovation Cell activity entitled “Training on Technology Commercialization, Licensing and Transfer Practices & Strategy”.
